We offer a pipe cutting service on selected products. If you need pipes cut to specific lengths, please note your requirements in the order comments or contact us before placing your order. Standard cuts on PVC, HDPE and steel pipes can usually be processed within 24 hours. Please be aware that cut pipes are made to your specification and therefore cannot be returned unless they are defective. We recommend double-checking measurements before requesting custom lengths.

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for standard stock items, provided the products are unused, undamaged and in their original packaging. To initiate a return, contact our team with your order number and reason for return. We will arrange collection or provide a returns label. Refunds are processed within 5 working days of receiving the returned goods. Custom-cut pipes and items ordered specially to your specification are non-returnable unless they arrive faulty or do not match what was ordered. Yes, all products we sell comply with the relevant British Standards and are suitable for use in accordance with UK Building Regulations. Our potable water pipes carry WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approval where applicable. Our drainage products are certified to BS EN 1401 and BS EN 13476 standards. We supply full product specification sheets and certificates upon request. For underground potable water supply, blue MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene) pipe is the UK industry standard. It is available in sizes from 20mm to 63mm and is approved by WRAS for drinking water applications. For larger mains or higher pressure applications, black HDPE pipe may be more suitable. Both materials are flexible, durable and resistant to ground movement and corrosion. If you are unsure which size or pressure class you need for your installation, our technical support team can help you select the correct product based on your flow rate requirements and distance from the mains connection.

In many cases, pipes and fittings from different manufacturers are compatible, provided they conform to the same British or European Standard and share the same dimensions and connection type. For example, 110mm PVC-U soil pipe from different manufacturers will generally be interchangeable if both meet BS EN 1329. However, we always recommend checking compatibility before mixing brands, particularly with push-fit and solvent weld systems where tolerances can vary slightly.
